Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In this role, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin is the daughter two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, as well as covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Over the course of this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' initiatives. She also traveled with President Trump and Vice President Biden frequently. It included a secret visit to Afghanistan. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Using her skills on the set, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014, which focused on making documentary-style movies for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
